Charity Event at Sophia Contemporary Gallery – 17th September, 4.00 – 6.00 pm

Sophia Contemporary Gallery, London is pleased to announce its exclusive UK representation of the estate of Lebanese artist Alfred Basbous (1924-2006) in the UK. The gallery’s co-director Vassili Tsarenkov stated, “We are delighted to be working with the Estate of Alfred Basbous and exclusively representing his internationally renowned sculptural work in the UK.” To celebrate the new representation Sophia Contemporary Gallery and the Alfred Basbous Foundation have partnered with The Centre for Lebanese Studies (CLS) and the Arabic-British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) to organise a charity event at Sophia Contemporary Gallery in Mayfair, London, on the 17 September 2016. The proceeds of Alfred Basbous’ sculpture, Femme dans le sommeil (1972) will go to the Centre for Lebanese Studies.
